Password Reset

Have you forgotten your login information? Not to worry. Follow the four quick steps in the Password Reset screen and you’ll be well on your way.

Remember that your student account would be required, it should have a similar format as the following:

“user@cotr.bc.ca”. Example: c1234567@cotr.bc.ca

Please check the email you received from the registration department for your login information. If you are having trouble locating this information, please contact the student help desk at studenthelp@cotr.bc.ca


Password Change

It’s a good idea to change your password occasionally, for security.

If you wish to change yours, click on the link below, enter your current password, and then enter your new password.

It needs to be at least 8 characters long and include:

An uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an important part of keeping information – and your accounts – safe. When you try to open an application, online account, or a VPN, you will be required to provide two or more verification factors to ensure it really is you. This helps to decrease the likelihood of a successful cyberattack and the potential loss of that essay you’ve worked so hard on.

What do I need to do?

Visit your app store, download the Microsoft Authenticator app, and follow the instructions. You will access this app when asked for MFA.
